Your anaesthetic is an important part of your operation, we work with a very experienced team of highly skilled anaesthetists to ensure that you receive a safe and effective anaesthetic.

They will speak to you about the benefits and risks of different types of anaesthetic, the most common of which are general or spinal anaesthesia, and your medical history. With you they will select the most appropriate anaesthetic for your operation.
